For those of you considering a new home it is important you understand that all builders
charge similar fees and what you are paying for is their knowledge, experience, creativity and trust.
It is important for you to be familiar with the training and experience of your potential builder. I am proud to
provide for you the following information about myself.
Attended vocational school,
graduating top of my class in carpentry.
Employed by a local cabinet
shop as cabinet maker and finish carpenter.
Worked as a Union, commercial,
and residential carpenter.
Attended North Dakota State
University.
Attended Bismarck State College;
studies included business and real estate law.
Hired as assistant superintendent
and promoted to superintendent of the largest homebuilder in the state. Managed a house per week production, with
over 50 homes under construction at one time.
Developed the "Superhome"
concept through research and experience.
Consultant to homebuilders,
in the development of modular Super Homes.
First Super Home was featured
in the January 1983 issue of REC Magazine. The home heated for $158 its first year!
Retained as a consultant by
ANG Coal Gasification Plant. Consulted with ANG and their architects on the construction of over 60 homes that
were all built to Super Home specifications.
Studied for and obtained real
estate license to better serve my clientele.
My expertise in construction
has attracted much media attention since 1980, including news stories on KFYR and KXMB TV, articles in the Bismarck
Tribune including one full page. Five news and educational articles in the REC Magazine including one I authored.
Kjonaas Super Homes have been
used by the North Dakota State University for seminars to educate vocational instructors on proper building procedures
and mechanical ventilation.
Invited as guest speaker for
a seminar sponsored by the state of North Dakota to educate architects and engineers on the technical advancements
in residential construction.
Guest speaker at several functions
including; the seven state Bureau of Indian Affairs Housing Conference; the North Dakota State intergovernmental
affairs luncheon and the Bismarck State College vocational heating and air conditioning class.
The "Roger Kjonaas Energy
Tip of the Day," was broadcast by KBMR Radio for several weeks.
Consulted and designed the historic
renovation of the Lewis and Clark Hotel in Mandan, ND. |
